-1,4-bis(1,2,4-triazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene-
2N4:N4']copper(I)] perchlorate]Abstract: The crystal structure of the title compound, {[Cu(C12H12N6)]ClO4}n, consists of a one-dimensional cationic copper(I) chain and uncoordinated ClO4- anions. In the cationic chain, the CuI center, which lies on a crystallographic twofold rotation axis, is coordinated by two N atoms from two 1,4-bis(1,2,4-triazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene ligands, giving a linear coordination geometry, and the 1,4-bis(1,2,4-triazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene ligand adopts a bis-monodentate bridging mode, linking CuI atoms. The anion O atoms are disordered equally over two sites.
