Poly[[(2,2-bipyridine-²N,N')cobalt(II)]-₃-pyridine-3,4-dicarboxylato-⁴N:O²:O⁴,O^4']

Abstract: In the title compound, [Co(C₇H₃NO₄)(C₁₀H₈N₂)]_n, the Co^II atom has a distorted octahedral coordination geometry, being coordinated by three N atoms and three carboxylate O atoms from chelating 2,2'-bipyridine and pyridine-3,4-dicarboxylate ligands. The compound exhibits a two-dimensional layer structure. This supramolecular network is consolidated by - stacking interactions [3.979 (3) Å].
