N3)nickel(II) sulfate dihydrateAbstract: The title compound, [Ni(C3H4N2)6]SO4·2H2O, was prepared by hydrothermal synthesis. The NiII atom lies on a site of
point symmetry and is coordinated by six imidazole ligands in a regular octahedral geometry. The sulfate anion is disordered about a site of 32 point symmetry; water molecules lie on sites of 32 point symmetry and on general positions. The coordinated imidazole molecules make N-H
O hydrogen bonds with the sulfate anions.
