Abstract: In the title compound, [Sn (C₂₅H₁₈N₂O₆)]_n, the Sn atom shows a trigonal bipyramidal coordination with equatorial phenyl groups and axial carboxylates linking the metal atoms into a polymeric chain. The nitro groups are slightly twisted away from the attached aromatic ring. In the crystal structure, the chains are linked by intermolecular C-HO interactions, forming columns along the b axis. In addition, the crystal structure is further stabilized by intermolecular - interactions, with centroid-to-centroid distance of 3.5538 (15) Å.
