Tetra--acetato-⁸O:O'-bis{[2-(phenylsulfanylmethyl)pyridine-N]copper(II)}

Abstract: The title compound, [Cu₂(C₂H₃O₂)₄(C₁₂H₁₁NS)₂], is a centrosymmetric dimer. The Cu centre presents a CuO₄N square-pyramidal geometry arising from four syn-syn bridging acetate anions and a 2-(phenylsulfanylmethyl)pyridine ligand N-coordinated in the apical position. The CuCu separation is 2.6309 (6) Å.
