25,27-Bis(acryloyloxy)-26,28-dihydroxycalix[4]arene toluene hemisolvate

S. Özkinali, I. Uçar, H. Kocaokutgen and A. Bulut

Abstract: In the title compound, C34H28O6·0.5C7H8, the calix[4]arene molecule forms a cone-like conformation, stabilized by intramolecular O-H...O hydrogen bonds. In the crystal structure, the calixarene molecules form centrosymmetric dimers via aromatic [pi]-[pi] interactions [centroid separation = 3.633 (3) Å]. The toluene solvent molecule is disordered about an inversion centre.
