Diaquabis[5-(pyrazin-2-yl)-5H-tetrazolato-N¹]nickel(II)

Abstract: In the title compound, [Ni(C₅H₃N₆)₂(H₂O)₂], the central Ni atom is located on a centre of inversion and is coordinated by two chelating pyrazinyltetrazolate ligands and two water molecules in a slightly distorted octahedral geometry [Ni-N = 2.082 (2) and 2.125 (2) Å, and Ni-O = 2.068 (2) Å]. These molecules are linked by O-HN hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional network.
