Abstract: The title compound is built from edge-sharing centrosymmetric dimeric [Zr2F12]4- complexes, K+ cations and HF molecules. The ZrIV coordination polyhedron is a distorted monocapped octahedron. The K+ ions are coordinated by F atoms and HF molecules with potassium coordination numbers of 7 and 8. In addition, the structure is stabilized by strong F-H
F hydrogen bonds.
