5,5'-Dinitro-2,2'-dithiodipyridine

Abstract: In the title disulfide, (5-O₂NC₅H₃N)₂S₂ or C₁₀H₆N₄O₄S₂, the molecule has a center of inversion. All bond lengths and angles are within normal ranges, and the molecules are linked into centrosymmetric R₂²(22) dimers by a simple C-HO interaction. In the crystal structure, there are no aromatic - stacking and no C-H(arene) interactions.
