N)[tris(2-aminoethyl)amine-
4N]nickel(II)Abstract: The crystal structure of the title complex, [Ni(C4N3)2(C6H18N4)], is made up of neutral mononuclear [Ni(tren){C(CN)3}2] units [tren = tris(2-aminoethyl)amine] which are linked through van der Waals interactions and N-H
N hydrogen bonds. The Ni atom has a distorted octahedral coordination environment, bonded to the four tren N atoms [average Ni-N = 2.096 (17) Å] and the two cis-positioned C(CN)3 N atoms [Ni-N = 2.045 (4) and 2.118 (4) Å].
