N)zinc(II)Abstract: In the title complex, [ZnBr2(C8H6N2)2], the quinoxaline ligands are monocoordinated to the ZnII atom and, with the bromide ions, form a distorted tetrahedral geometry. The combination of
-stacking interactions between inversion-related quinoxaline ligands and the bridging Zn creates layers parallel to the bc plane [distances range from 3.250 (1) to 3.51 (1) Å].
