A dinuclear manganese(II) complex with a 4-aminoantipyrine-derived Schiff base ligand

Abstract: In the crystal structure of the centrosymmetric title complex, bis[-(E)-1,5-dimethyl-2-phenyl-4-(3-pyridylmethyleneamino)pyrazol-3(2H)-one]bis{dibromido[(E)-1,5-dimethyl-2-phenyl-4-(3-pyridylmethyleneamino)pyrazol-3(2H)-one]manganese(II)}, [Mn₂Br₄(C₁₇H₁₆N₄O)₄], the Mn atom adopts a trigonal-bipyramidal geometry and the ligand adopts two coordination modes, monodentate and bidentate bridging.
