N,N'-Bis(3,4-methenedioxybenzyl)ethane-1,2-diammonium dinitrate: hydrogen-bonded chains of rings

Abstract: In the title compound, C₁₈H₂₂N₂O₄²⁺·2NO₃^-, the cation is centrosymmetric. The asymmetric unit consists of one half-cation and one anion. The molecules are linked by N-HO and C-HO hydrogen bonds and by dipolar O-CO-C interactions, forming a chain of edge-fused R₄⁴(18) rings and a chain of R₂²(4) rings.
