Abstract: The title compound, C16H20N2S4, contains two terminal 5-methyl-4,5-dihydrothiazole rings and a central benzene ring. The molecule lies on an inversion centre. This symmetry imposes a trans configuration for the terminal heterocyclic systems with respect to the central benzene ring. The S-C bond lengths are significantly different, depending on the hybridization state of the C atoms.
