[N,N'-Bis(6-methoxysalicylidene)-1,3-diaminopropane]nickel(II)

Abstract: The title compound (systematic name: {3,3'-dimethoxy-2,2'-[propane-1,3-diylbis(nitrilomethylidyne)]diphenolato}nickel(II)), [Ni(C₁₉H₂₀N₂O₄)], is isostructural with its Cu^II analogue. The Ni^II ion is coordinated within a distorted square-planar N₂O₂ environment. The dihedral angle between the two NiNC₃O chelate rings is 22.38 (12)°.
