Di--iodido-bis[(N-morpholino-2-pyridylmethanimine-²N,N')copper(I)] acetonitrile solvate

Abstract: In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Cu₂I₂(C₁₀H₁₃N₃O)₂]·CH₃CN, the Schiff base chelates the Cu^I atom, which is linked to two I atoms in a tetrahedral geometry; the covalent Cu-I bond is only marginally shorter than the dative Cu-I bond. The dinuclear molecule lies about a centre of inversion and the solvent molecule on a twofold rotation axis.
