Abstract: In the structure of the title compound, C15H15NO2, the dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 86.8 (1)°. An intramolecular methylene-oxime C-H
O hydrogen bond stabilizes the molecular structure. Intermolecular O-H
N hydrogen bonds between oxime subunits cluster the molecules into R22(6) dimers. Aromatic-aromatic stacking interactions are also observed in the packing [interplanar distance 3.344 Å, slippage 4.107 Å, centroid-to-centroid distance 5.297 (2) Å] and these, combined with the O-H
N hydrogen bonds, form a one-dimensional array of molecules along the b axis.
