Abstract: The Cr3+ center of the cation present in the title compound, [Cr(C5H7O2)2(H2O)2]ClO4·H2O, assumes a pseudo-octahedral geometry. The uncoordinated water molecule and the perchlorate anion are involved in moderately strong O-H
O hydrogen-bonding interactions with the cation, resulting in a three-dimensional network.
