5-Bromothiophene-2-sulfonic acid

Abstract: In the title compound, C₄H₃BrO₃S₂, all bond lengths and angles are within normal ranges. The crystal packing exhibits intermolecular O-HO hydrogen bonds, which link the molecules into chains extended along the c axis.
