Aquachlorido{4,4'-dibromo-2,2'-[propane-1,3-diylbis(nitrilomethylidyne)]diphenolato}manganese(III)

Abstract: In the title complex, [Mn(C₁₇H₁₄Br₂N₂O₂)Cl(H₂O)], the Mn^III ion is six-coordinated by the tetradentate N,N'-bis(5-bromosalicylidene)-1,3-diiminopropane dianion (Brsalpn), Cl and water ligands in a distorted octahedral geometry. The complexes are assembled through intermolecular hydrogen bonds and - interactions (the centroid-centroid distance is 3.844 Å and the dihedral angle between the ring planes is 13.5°) along the c axis.
