[8,17-Bis(5-nitro-2-oxidobenzyl-O)-5,6:19,20-dibenzo-1,4,11,14-tetraoxa-8,17-diazacycloeicosane-⁴N,N']copper(II) chloroform solvate

Abstract: In the title compound, C₃₆H₃₈CuN₄O₁₀·CHCl₃, the Cu^II atom is coordinated by two phenolate O atoms and two amine N atoms and displays a distorted square-planar coordination geometry. The complex molecule has approximate C₂ symmetry. The chloroform solvent molecule is disordered equally over two positions.
