A two-dimensional holmium(III) coordination polymer: poly[aminotris(-4-aminobenzoato)holmium(III)]

Abstract: In the title compound, [Ho(C₇H₆NO₂)₃(H₂O)]_n, a two-dimensional coordination polymer, the eight-coordinate Ho^III ions are bridged by two carboxylate groups from two 4-aminobenzoate ligands, forming a centrosymmetric dinuclear block. These blocks are further connected by 4-aminobenzoate ligands, yielding a two-dimensional network; a three-dimensional supramolecular structure is then formed via hydrogen bonds.
