2N1,O2)nickel(II) dihydrateAbstract: In the title compound, [Ni(C5H3N2O2)2]·2H2O, the NiII cation is four-coordinated by two N and two O atoms belonging to two pyrazine-2-carboxylate ligands. The NiII atom occupies a special position at a centre of symmetry. Hydrogen bonds between water molecules, and between water molecules and carboxylate O atoms, stabilize the crystal structure.
