Abstract: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C15H15BrN4O·H2O, consists of a roughly planar Schiff base molecule and a solvent water molecule. The Schiff base molecule displays a trans configuration with respect to the C=N double bond. The dihedral angle between the benzene and pyridine rings is 4.6 (2)°. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked through intermolecular O-H
O and O-HN hydrogen bonds.
