(Pyrimidine-2-thiolato-²N,S)bis(triphenylphosphine-P)copper(I)

Abstract: The pyrimidine-2-thiolate ligand in the title copper(I) complex, [Cu(C₄H₃N₂S)(C₁₈H₁₅P)₂], chelates the metal atom through the exocyclic S atom and one heterocyclic N atom. Two triphenylphosphine ligands complete the approximately tetrahedral coordination geometry about the Cu^I atom. In the crystal structure, intermolecular C-HS hydrogen bonds connect the mononuclear complexes into a two-dimensional network.
