Bis(2-aminopyrimidin-1-ium) dichromate(VI)

Abstract: The asymmetric unit of the title salt, (C₄H₆N₃)₂[Cr₂O₇], consists of two 2-aminopyrimidinium cations and one dichromate dianion linked together by N-HO hydrogen bonds to form a ribbon structure lying parallel to the (013) plane and running along the a axis. Pairs of symmetry-related cations are connected into centrosymmetric dimers via N-HN hydrogen bonds, forming eight-membered R₂²(8) rings.
