(E)-2-Hydroxy-N'-(3-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzylidene)benzohydrazide

Abstract: The molecule of the title compound, C₁₅H₁₄N₂O₄, is roughly planar, except for the methyl H atoms, and displays a trans configuration with respect to the C=N double bond. The dihedral angle between the two rings is 3.7 (2)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular O-HO and N-HO hydrogen bonds.
