Abstract: The title complex, [Gd₂(C₁₂H₉O₂)₆(C₁₂H₈N₂)₂]·2C₃H₇NO, has a centrosymmetric structure. The Gd atom has a distorted monocapped square-antiprismatic coordination geometry. Molecules are linked into a chain by C-HO hydrogen bonds parallel to a and into a sheet by C-H hydrogen bonds parallel to the (100) plane; a combination of the a chains and (100) sheets generates a three-dimensional framework structure.
