(E)-4-Bromo-N'-(2-thienylmethylene)benzohydrazide

Abstract: The title compound, C₁₂H₉BrN₂OS, contains planar thiophene and benzene rings [dihedral angle = 22.10 (3)°] bridged by a chain containing an N-N bond. The structure is stabilized by a weak intermolecular N-HO hydrogen bond to form a zigzag packing arrangement.
