2-(Benzyliminomethyl)-6-methoxyphenol

Abstract: In the title Schiff base compound, C₁₅H₁₅NO₂, the C=N and C-N bond lengths are 1.277 (4) and 1.453 (5) Å, respectively, while the C-O bond length of the hydroxyl group is 1.334 (3) Å. The molecule exhibits an intramolecular O-HN hydrogen bond with an ON distance of 2.548 (3) Å.
