Abstract: In the title compound, C₂₃H₂₈O₆, the mean planes of the two benzene rings make a dihedral angle of 81.1 (2)°. A twofold rotation axis passes through the central C atom. The molecules are connected into chains via intermolecular O-HO hydrogen bonds.
