N)zinc(II) monohydrateAbstract: In the title compound, dihydroxidobis(2,4,6-triamino-1,3,5-triazine-
N)zinc(II) monohydrate, [Zn(OH)2(C3N6H6)2]·H2O, ZnII is tetrahedrally coordinated by two melamine and two hydroxy groups; there is also a solvent water molecule. The dihedral angle between the two melamine rings is 86.3 (9)°. Intramolecular N-H
O and N-H
N hydrogen bonds help to stabilize the molecular conformation. Numerous intermolecular hydrogen bonds between water, hydroxy and melamine groups link the molecules into a three-dimensional supramolecular network.
