Dilanthanum copper indium pentaselenide, La₂CuInSe₅

Abstract: Single crystals of La₂CuInSe₅ were obtained by sintering a La₂Se₃-Cu₂Se-In₂Se₃ mixture. The crystal structure is similar to the previously reported La₂CuInS₅. The coordination polyhedron of the Cu atom is a trigonal bipyramid. In contrast to the La₂CuInS₅ compound, the position of this atom is fully occupied and ordered.
