Abstract: Single crystals of La2CuInSe5 were obtained by sintering a La2Se3-Cu2Se-In2Se3 mixture. The crystal structure is similar to the previously reported La2CuInS5. The coordination polyhedron of the Cu atom is a trigonal bipyramid. In contrast to the La2CuInS5 compound, the position of this atom is fully occupied and ordered.
