Abstract: In the polymeric title compound, {[Ag(C₁₂H₁₀N₄)](CF₃SO₃)}_n, the Ag atom lies within an almost linear N₂ geometry and the topology of the polymer is linear. Weak AgO interactions lead to supramolecular chains that pack into layers, with connections between layers being of types AgAg and AgO.
