2-[(2-Aminophenylimino)(phenyl)methyl]-4,6-dichlorophenol

Abstract: The title compound, C₁₉H₁₄Cl₂N₂O, a tridentate Schiff base, has been synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray structure analysis. The hydroxy and imino groups are involved in a resonance-assisted O-HN hydrogen bond [ON = 2.502 (3) Å]. Intermolecular N-HO hydrogen bonds further stabilize the crystal packing.
