Aqua(2,2'-bipyridine-²N,N')bis(5-chlorosalicylato-O)zinc(II)

Abstract: In the title complex, [Zn(C₇H₄ClO₃)₂(C₁₀H₈N₂)(H₂O)], the Zn^II atom is coordinated by two 5-chlorosalicylate ligands, one 2,2'-bipyridine ligand and one water molecule, displaying a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal geometry. The crystal structure is stabilized by intra- and intermolecular O-HO and intermolecular C-HCl hydrogen bonds.
