(Z)-Ethyl 3-benzamido-2-cyano-3-(4-fluorophenyl)acrylate

Abstract: The title compound, C₁₉H₁₅FN₂O₃, was prepared by the reaction of (Z)-ethyl 3-amino-2-cyano-3-(4-fluorophenyl)acrylate and benzoyl chloride. In addition to an intramolecular N-HO hydrogen bond, the crystal packing shows the molecules to be connected by intermolecular C-HO and C-HN hydrogen bonds. The ethyl group is disordered over two positions, with site-occupancy factors of 0.75 and 0.25.
