Abstract: In the title compound, [Mo(CO)₃(C₁₈H₁₅P)(C₁₂H₈N₂)] or C₃₃H₂₃MoN₂O₃P, the carbonyl groups are attached to one face of the MoC₃N₂P octahedron. Slight differences in the Mo-C bond lengths may be interpreted in terms of back-bonding models of electronic structure. In the crystal structure, a short C-HO interaction (HO = 2.34 Å) may help to establish the packing.
