Abstract: In the title centrosymmetric complex, [Ni(C₉H₁₀Br₂NO₂)₂], the Ni^II ion is chelated by two 2-[(3,5-dibromo-2-oxidophenyl)methylamino]ethanol ligands in a slightly distorted octahedral geometry. In the crystal structure, intermolecular O-HO hydrogen bonds connect molecules into one-dimensional chains, and there are short intermolecular BrBr contacts of 3.592 (1) Å.
