Bis{2-[tris(hydroxymethyl)methyliminomethyl]phenolato-³N,O,O'}nickel(II) methanol solvate

Abstract: In the crystal structure of [Ni(C₁₁H₁₄NO₄)₂]·CH₄O, the 2-[tris(hydroxymethyl)methyliminomethyl]phenolate monoanions bind in a tridentate mode through the phenolate, alcohol and imine donor atoms to confer an octahedral geometry on nickel. Adjacent molecules are linked by O-HO hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional supramolecular network structure.
