Dichlorido[bis(2-hexylsulfanyl)-1H-benzimidazole-N³]palladium(II)

Abstract: The title compound, [PdCl₂(C₁₃H₁₈N₂S)₂], was obtained from 2-hexylsulfanyl-1H-benzimidazole and (NH₄)₂PdCl₄ in ethanol. The crystal structure reveals that the molecule resides on a crystallographic centre of symmetry, with the Pd atom at the centre of the square-planar complex. Molecules are linked by N-HCl hydrogen bonds.
