Pyridine-2,4-dicarboxylic acid N-oxide

Abstract: The title compound, C₇H₅NO₅, was obtained as rectangular prism-like crystals by the hydroponic method. It displays a planar one-dimensional chain structure stabilized via inter- and intramolecular O-HO hydrogen bonds.
