Di--methoxido-⁴O:O-bis[bis(3-methyl-5-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-N²)copper(II)] bis(perchlorate)

Abstract: In the title complex, [Cu(CH₃O)₂(C₄₀H₄₀N₈)](ClO₄)₂, two copper ions are bridged by two methoxide O atoms. Each Cu^II is further coordinated by two neutral 3-methyl-5-phenyl-1H-pyrazole ligands and adopts a distorted square-planar geometry. The two perchlorate anions lie on opposite sides of the Cu₂O₂ plane and there is evidence for interaction between two of the O atoms from each perchlorate anion with the Cu^II centers.
