2N,N']zinc(II)Abstract: In the title compound, [ZnCl2(C10H22N2)], the ZnII ion coordinates to the N atoms of tetramethylcyclohexane-1,2-diamine and to two chloride ions in an approximately tetrahedral arrangement. The N-Zn-N and Cl-Zn-Cl planes are approximately orthogonal, with a dihedral angle of 89.7 (2)° between them. Four C atoms of the cyclohexane ring, together with their attached H atoms, are disordered equally over two sites.
