Abstract: In the title compound, [Pd(C₁₁H₁₀N₂O₂)₂](ClO₄)₂, the Pd^II atom, which lies on an inversion centre, adopts square-planar coordination, binding to the two N atoms of each of the two di-2-pyridylmethanediol ligands. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked by a network of O-HO hydrogen bonds involving the hydroxyl groups and the O atoms of the perchlorate anions to form columns down a.
