Bis(5,8-diazoniadispiro[4.2.4.2]tetradecane) hexakis(thiocyanato-N)manganate(II)

Abstract: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, (C₁₂H₂₄N₂)₂[Mn(NCS)₆], comprises one cation and one half of the anion. The central Mn atom of the anion is situated on an inversion centre and shows the expected octahedral coordination with only minor deviations from the ideal geometry. Intermolecular C-HS hydrogen-bonding interactions link all components into a three-dimensional network.
