Abstract: In the crystal structure of the title compound, (C7H7NH3)2[Cd(SO4)2(H2O)4], the Cd atom of the complex anion is located on a center of inversion and exhibits a slightly distorted octahedral coordination by six O atoms which belong to four water molecules and two sulfate ligands. Intermolecular hydrogen bonding between the cations and the anions consolidates the monomeric units into a three-dimensional network structure. The title compound is isotypic with its CuII and MnII analogues.
