(Bromido)[N,N'-bis(2-nitrocinnamaldehyde)ethylenediamine](triphenylphosphine)copper(I)

Abstract: In the title mononuclear Cu^I complex, C₃₈H₃₃CuBrN₄O₄P or [CuBr(C₁₈H₁₅P)(C₉H₇NO₂)₂(C₂H₄N₂)], the Cu^I ion is coordinated by two imine N atoms of a Schiff base ligand, a Br^- anion and a PPh₃ ligand in a distorted tetrahedral geometry. The N-Cu-N angle is only 82.15 (7)°, but the Br-Cu-P angle is 114.54 (4)°.
