Abstract: The structure of the title complex, [Zn(NCS)₂(C₈H₁₂N₆)]_n, exhibits a one-dimensional zigzag chain through a 1,4-bis(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)butane bridge, in which the Zn^II atom, lying on a twofold rotation axis, is in a distorted tetrahedral environment formed by two N atoms of the triazoles and two N atoms from two thiocyanate ligands.
