Abstract: In the title compound, [Co(C₁₇H₁₀Br₂NO)₂(C₃H₇NO)₂], the cobalt(II) cation is coordinated by two N and two O atoms from two different Schiff base ligands, and two O atoms from dimethylformamide molecules, forming a slightly distorted octahedral geometry. In the crystal structure, C-HBr hydrogen bonds link the molecules in rows.
